Background
In over 15 years as a Lighting Cameraman/DoP I've worked in 90 countries
from Antarctica to the Arctic, and from the Himalayas to the South Pacific.
My credits include
most of the leading documentary series on BBC and C4, and along the
way I've picked up over a dozen national and international awards including
a Bafta Nomination for Factual Photography.
I enjoy the challenge
of creating feature quality images from often unpromising documentary
situations from war zones to climatic extremes. I'm the only professional
cameraman ever to have filmed at Vostok Base in Antarctica, the world's
coldest place.
Although I now concentrate on documentary camerawork, I also have international
credits and awards as a director and editor in both factual and drama
programmes.
I prefer working with
my own choice of sound recordist and/or assistant, although I leave
them to negotiate their rates independently.
So if you like what you
see on this site, and need a Digibeta DoP with enthusiasm, a creative
eye and a sense of humour, then give me a call.
All the images on this site are frame grabs from
actual footage.
